Growing With The Jarrold Growth Fund

Urban Interiors has been chosen as the first recipient of the 2025 Jarrold Growth Fund – a partnership between Jarrold Group and Norfolk County Council designed to champion and support independent businesses like mine. To be recognised by a group with such deep ties to our county’s business and creative landscape is humbling, and I’m thrilled to share what this means for me, and more importantly, for our clients.

An Exciting Chapter

I’ve always believed that meaningful design starts with listening, not just to our clients, but to the spaces they live and work in. So when I founded Urban Interiors here in Norfolk, it was with a clear intention: to offer truly personal interior design services that don’t just follow trends but reflect lives, businesses, and individual stories.

Now, I find myself at the start of a new and exciting chapter.

With the support of the Jarrold Growth Fund, Urban Interiors will gain accredited training and full membership with the British Institute of Interior Design (BIID), a hallmark of quality and professionalism in the UK interiors industry. For me, it’s not just about ticking boxes. This is about deepening my knowledge, expanding my creative network and strengthening my proposition, so that every residential or commercial interior we work on in Norfolk and beyond is even more considered, more refined, and more aligned with what our clients are truly seeking.

Whether you’re a homeowner looking to breathe new life into the dated family-home, or a business in need of a space that reflects your brand, your culture and your aspirations, my approach has always been the same. I work closely with each client, drawing on my knowledge of materials, light, flow and function to create spaces that feel right, and work beautifully.

Interior design in Norfolk is a vibrant, growing sector and it’s full of incredibly talented creatives, architects, makers and craftspeople. I feel so fortunate to be a part of this community and to have the chance to grow in a way that honours both the design process and the relationships we build along the way.

Caroline Ellis at Jarrold Group said it best: this fund isn’t just about investment, it’s about enabling sustainable growth. And that’s exactly what I’m aiming for. I want Urban Interiors to continue offering thoughtful, high-quality interior design in Norfolk, but also to evolve, to stretch creatively, and to stay ahead in an industry that’s always shifting.

So, what’s next?

With new training, expert mentoring, and the support of the wider Jarrold Business Services network, I’ll be sharpening both my creative and business skills. I’ll be exploring new approaches to spatial planning, colour theory and design psychology, while also working on the practical elements of growing a business that remains true to its values.

To every client I’ve worked with – thank you. Your homes and your workspaces have allowed me to grow. To those considering their next design project whether it’s a retail interior, a home renovation or a complete brand refresh, I’d love to hear from you.

The future of Urban Interiors is taking shape, and I’m beyond grateful to be doing it here, in Norfolk, with the support of such a respected and rooted organisation. It’s not often you get the chance to pause, reflect and feel truly supported in your work, but this moment is just that. And I can’t wait to see where it leads.
